Quality Inspector - Level II

Description

Key Responsibilities :

Verifies the final quality of products on the production line. Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment and products to technical specifications to identify defects. Separates products that do not have the desired technical specification, using basic and / or complex measurement techniques and equipment. Documents products that do not meet technical specifications using specified systems. Trains others in the use of measurement equipment, segregation of non-conforming product and documentation. Follows the norms and standards of quality defined by the Company.

Quality Process Management - Proficient application of quality tools and methods (e.g. APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Capability studies, Process Audit, inspection, test, etc.) to ensure quality of products, processes and services.

Laboratory Management - Leads technical resources while managing the business aspects of a laboratory using measure to control both the technical and business aspects of the organization and assuring the requirements of the appropriate certifications and / or accreditations are met.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience.

Qualifications

Skills Required :

• Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) .
• Basic Engine knowledge skill required.
• Basic Oracle System knowledge required.
• Familiarity with standard measuring instruments , including vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
• Knowledge of basic quality tools , including the 7 QC tools (e.g., Cause-and-Effect Diagram, Check Sheet, Control Chart, Histogram, Pareto Chart, Scatter Diagram, Flowchart).
• Basic computer proficiency , including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint .
• Strong attention to detail , with good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow work instructions and standard operating procedures accurately.
