Lead - Product Stewardship and Circularity Support

Role & responsibilities

1.Driving a robust mechanism for implementation, monitoring and audit for effective sustainability reporting and excellence across all BU's aligned with Carbon reduction performance at both organizational and product level.

2.Streamlining process and procedures adopted for sustainability across all BU's and continuously working towards driving the recent trends and staying ahead of the curve through proactive approach adopted at Group level.

3. Alignment with Sustainability KPI's, roadmap and Group level commitments and demonstrating actions to align with Group's vision and ambitions.

4. Driving GHG reporting, implementation and monitoring procedures for Scope 1, 2, 3 across all 4 NU's and at Organizational level and working for determining Internal Carbon Pricing.

5. GHG reduction strategy implementation with collaboration of all internal stakeholders and monitoring efficacy of programs.

6. Driving Product Stewardship aligned with Life Cycle Assessment Principles based on ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 standards and Circularity Standards

7. Calculation of Product Carbon Footprint and LCA based on Cradle to Grave approaches including R&D considerations of various product mix for working on best design principles.

8. Implementing ICP, Carbon Neutrality pathways, SbTi approaches, working towards driving Net Zero and achieving Circularity.

9. Working towards strengthening frameworks, procedures, policies and strategies adopted for progressing journey towards responsible and sustainable growth.

10. Engage with the internal stakeholders and work towards driving sustainability across all 4 BU's aligned to Suzlon's Sustainability Scorecard and Group; level commitments

11. Visits at sites and plants on regular intervals and undertaking internal audits and surveillance for continuous monitoring and implementation across Group level

12. Ensure ESG materiality assessments and other works related to sustainability / ESG initiatives are undertaken in accordance with the requirement of various frameworks and ratings.

13. Maintaining current working knowledge and ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and internal environmental laws and regulations and undertaking in-house and third-party assurance of ESG related policies, programs and certifications as required at Site / Plant / Corporate level and support to Corporate Sustainability and ESG team in ensuring Group Sustainability goals are met

14.Co-ordinate with Corp Sustainability & ESG Team, all internal stakeholders viz. EHS, Admin, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, HR team etc. and specialists to design and implement the sustainability framework adopted at Suzlon

15. Drive execution and working on projects to ensure adherence and preparedness to comply with emerging regulations like India's Carbon Credit Trdaing Scheme (CCTS), EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Green Taxonomy, CBAM, EPD etc.

16. Monitoring and reporting on fortnightly and monthly basis and performance monitoring and management for all ESG metrics under consideration at Group level and across all 4 BU's.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification - M.Sc. / MBA (Environmental Engineering / Sustainability / Natural Resources / Environmental Management / Water Resources Management)

Certification - Certified GHG Auditor-GHG Protocol / ISO 14064 and ISO 14067, Auditor / Consulting / Implementation experience on ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, ISO 14025, SbTi, Circularity, Plastic Pact (Preferred requirements)
