We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Packaging Designer to lead our packaging strategy, development, and execution across our growing portfolio of FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) and nutraceutical products. This role requires a blend of creative design sense, deep technical expertise in materials and sustainability, and strong leadership to manage projects from concept to mass production. The ideal candidate will ensure our packaging is innovative, cost-effective, sustainable, compliant, and delivers a superior brand experience that resonates with our D2C customer base. Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science / Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design , or a related technical field. A Master's degree or advanced certification is highly desirable.
10+ years of progressive experience in packaging development and engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level capacity.
Mandatory experience working with both FMCG (high-volume consumer goods) and Nutraceutical / Supplement packaging, including expertise in primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging systems.
Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced D2C / e-commerce environment , showing an understanding of the unique challenges of ship-testing, fulfillment logistics, and unboxing optimization.
Proven history of successfully managing global supplier relationships and contract negotiations.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Mastery : Expert-level knowledge of diverse packaging materials (e.G., rigid plastics, flexibles, glass, paperboard), their barrier properties , and suitability for regulated products like supplements (e.G., moisture, oxygen, light protection).
Software Proficiency : Highly proficient in packaging-related software (e.G., CorelDraw, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Outlook Suite ) for structural design, specification creation, and technical drawing review.
Project Management : Exceptional ability to manage complex, concurrent projects, utilizing robust methodologies (e.G., Stage-Gate) to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery from concept to production.
Cost Management : Strong financial acumen with proven ability to perform Value Engineering (VE) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to drive significant material and operational savings.
Regulatory Knowledge : Deep understanding of current packaging compliance standards, including FDA / GRAS material contact requirements, labeling regulations, and international export standards.

II. Development & Execution
Lead the end-to-end Technical Packaging Development process, creating precise material specifications, design tolerances, and quality standards for all packaging components.
Implement rigorous D2C-specific testing protocols (e.G., drop testing, vibration analysis, ISTA standards) to guarantee product integrity and minimize damage rates during shipment.
Oversee the tooling, Mold, and component qualification process (IQ / OQ / PQ) for all custom packaging, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality output during mass production.
Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency by optimizing packaging formats for co-packer machinery and automated fulfilment centres.
Having Proficient knowledge in print separation files and having a keen eye for detail.
IV. Brand & Customer Experience
Serve as the key technical link between Brand Design and Manufacturing Feasibility , translating conceptual creative visions into scalable, premium, and functional physical packaging solutions.
Obsessively optimize the D2C Unboxing Experience , focusing on material choice, closures, internal fitments, and secondary communication to create a memorable and premium moment for the consumer.
Develop consumer-centric packaging solutions that improve functionality, such as enhanced resealability, improved dosage accuracy, and easier sustainable disposal for the end-user.
Actively incorporate consumer feedback and market trends to drive iterative improvements in structural and functional packaging design.
