Job descriptionHands-on experience in Physical Design Implementation and sign-off. Strong knowledge of low-power design methodologies (UPF / CPF). Expertise in RTL to GDS2 flow with solid understanding of PD concepts. Scripting skills (TCL / Perl) and good analytical / problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities :
- Block / SOC-level Physical Design from Netlist to GDSII including floorplanning, power planning, placement, CTS, routing, extraction, and DFM .
- Perform congestion, timing, IR / EM, power and QoR analysis and drive closure.
- Execute sign-off flows : STA, DRC / LVS, Antenna / ERC, LEC, and ECO (timing & functional).
- Implement ECOs and ensure successful RTL–GDS2 handoff.
- Work with ICC2 / Innovus and other industry-standard PnR and sign-off tools.
- Develop automation using TCL / Perl scripts to improve flow efficiency.
- Collaborate across teams, demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, leadership, and a proactive attitude.
