Who You Are

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Critical Start Technologies Private Ltd. team operating under the Critical Start umbrella for our India operations. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Backend Team you will contribute to the design development testing deployment maintenance and enhancement of Cloud Backend Services and Interfaces (including supporting APIs) used by Critical Start customers and addition to this you are going to work on distributed systems utilizing the relevant concepts patterns and practices in your day to day work.

Critical Start Teams take full ownership for delivering high-quality solutions and continually improving team performance. Team members are expected to be versatile display leadership qualities be skilled at working through ambiguity and enthusiastically deliver delightful solutions for end users while continuously pushing technology forward.

This role is designated as a hybrid position. You are required to have a reliable high-speed internet connection the ability to participate in video meetings and a dedicated home office or private workspace suitable for professional work. As the position involves collaboration with U.S.-based teams and clients you will be expected to work during overlapping hours with U.S. business hours as guided by your manager.

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop test and deploy scalable and maintainable microservices and API interfaces Python Celery Redis RabbitMQ that uses PostgreSQL ElasticSearch and other relational or document databases.
• Design develop and maintain microservices to support front-end functionality and mobile applications.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs to ensure seamless communication between front-end and microservices.
• Work on API versioning documentation and testing to ensure robust and reliable API services.
• Design and develop code based on distributed systems concepts patterns and industry best practices.
• Strong focus on quality of the code with unit testing and integration testing while developing and enhancing services and APIs.
• Lead and participate in reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide on solution architecture design.
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g. style guidelines accuracy maintainability testability and efficiency) and quality of deliverables.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content. Adapt content based on product / program updates and user feedback.
• Triage resolve and determine the root cause of production issues. Form action plans to prevent or minimize the impact of similar issues in the future.
• Design and automate required workflows using scripting languages (e.g. Python Shell).
• Work with teams in India as well as with Global teams as needed.
