We are seeking an accomplished Chemical Engineer (≈20 years experience) with deep expertise in Basic Engineering (BEP), process design, and execution of large-scale chemical projects.
The ideal candidate will have contributed to 2–3 major chemical plant projects (greenfield or revamp) and be prepared to take on a senior leadership role driving team performance, engineering quality, and project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of process engineers and cross-functional contributors.
- Ensure effective work allocation, resource planning, and balancing of workloads to meet project timelines.
- Conduct regular job reviews, monitor progress, and drive timely completion of engineering deliverables.
- Establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability, problem-solving, and “getting things done.”
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and alignment across project teams.
- Lead and oversee preparation of the Basic Engineering Package (BEP) including PFDs, P&IDs, HMB, equipment sizing, line lists, control philosophy, and safety deliverables.
- Review technical outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with engineering standards.
- Support troubleshooting, debottlenecking, process optimization, and revamp planning for existing plants.
- Coordinate process inputs with mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines during detailed engineering.
- Manage project schedules, design reviews, contractor coordination, and documentation control.
- Review vendor proposals, technical bids, GA drawings, equipment datasheets, and ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead or participate in HAZOP / HAZID / SIL studies and ensure adherence to safety-in-design principles.
Requirements
