Assistant Restaurant Manager

Your Day to Day

• Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
• Endeavour to resolve all complaints during shift and logs all complaints in log book for further follow up
• Supervise cash handling and banking procedures
• Prepare daily banking and cash flow reports
• Establish and instruct staff in cash security procedures
• Deal with irregular payments
• Supervise the maintenance of service equipment
• Monitor standards of guest facilities and services
• Control stock and monitor security procedures
• Menu and wine list creation
• Supervise functions
• Supervise outlet service
• Works on manpower planning and management needs
• Works in the preparation and management of the Department's budget
• It's a physical role and you'll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important
• Strength – with occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms and or push / pulling heavy objects
• You'll might need to bend and kneel to complete some activities
• Literacy skills - reading, writing and basic maths skills
• Flexible attitude to shifts – you may need to work nights, weekends and / or holidays
