Business Unit Overview

Working as System Engineer - VMware, you will be working in a team focused on the VMware ESX Server operating system and additional server components within the IT infrastructure. You will work to enhance the VMware Server infrastructure within the datacenter and serve as a technical VMware resource for our technical support, operations management, and development teams.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

• Have good experience on maintaining and monitoring of system administration and engineering practices in the areas of Platform Technologies - Compute / Storage / Virtualization.
• Ability to analyze, develop, test, optimize and deliver solutions to improve processes and Infrastructure as code automation practices with quality
• Ensure integrity and security of systems through patch management
• Understand and participation in Disaster recovery tests
• Perform technical reviews of deploy guides, code and documentations
• Provide innovative solution to complex technical problems and drive towards solutions
• Focus on deepening expertise aligned to business needs
• Learn, use and conduct technical trainings
• Mentor junior team members
• Effective communication across IT Teams
• Provide support on critical systems in an on-call rotation
• Ensure adherence to standards and policies of the organization
