About the Role
We are seeking an experienced BARC MIS Analyst with a strong background in television broadcast analytics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in BARC data interpretation, reporting, and insights generation. This role requires prior experience working with a TV channel or broadcast network, managing end-to-end MIS, ratings analysis, and performance tracking across programs, adex, markets, and competitor sets.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze BARC viewership data to generate actionable insights for Programming, Sales, and Leadership teams.
- Prepare MIS Excel reports, rating summaries, trend charts, and weekly performance dashboards.
- Conduct detailed market share analysis, time-band analysis, competitor benchmarking, and audience profiling.
- Provide data-driven insights to support content strategy, FPC planning, promo planning, and campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to deliver insights that enhance ad sales pitches, ROI analysis, and client reporting.
- Maintain and automate regular BARC and internal MIS reports using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Validate data accuracy, identify anomalies, and coordinate with BARC teams for issue resolution.
- Support leadership and sales teams with ad-hoc analysis, forecasting models, performance deep-dives, and strategic recommendations.
- Track industry trends, channel rankings, and competitor movements to provide weekly intelligence updates.
Required Skills & Experience
2–5 years of experience working with a TV channel, broadcast network, or media agency .Strong understanding of BARC measurement metrics (AMAs, TSV, Reach, Impressions, ATS, CVR, etc.).Hands-on experience with BARC YUMI .Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, pivots, lookups, charts).Practical knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio .Ability to work with large datasets, perform trend analysis, and present insights clearly.Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data for non-technical stakeholders.Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Good to Have
Experience supporting Sales, Programming, or Marketing teams within a TV channel.Knowledge of FPC, promo logs, ad-break patterns, and scheduling analytics .
