We are looking for an 5 YRS+ experienced SAP Selective Data Transfer (SDT) Specialist to lead and support our migration from SAP ECC to SAP S / 4HANA. The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in SDT, Shell Conversion, SLT, and S / 4HANA transition approaches.
Key Responsibilities
1. Selective Data Transfer Strategy & Planning
Develop SDT strategies for migrating selected company codes, processes, or historical data.
Analyze ECC systems to identify migration scope, data objects, and dependencies.
Coordinate with business and IT teams to align SDT plans with technical and functional needs.
2. System Landscape Transformation & Technical Execution
Execute selective data migration using :
SAP SLT
SAP DMO with System Move
SAP SLO tools (carve-in / carve-out)
SAP Migration Cockpit (if applicable)
Configure mapping rules and transformation logic.
Support system copies, mock migrations, and readiness assessments.
3. Data Mapping, Validation & Cleansing
Conduct data profiling, mapping, and validation between ECC and S / 4HANA systems.
Work with functional teams to ensure high data quality and accuracy.
Meet governance, audit, and compliance standards.
4. Cutover Planning & Go-Live Support
Prepare cutover plans for selective migration activities.
Use Near-Zero Downtime (NZDT) techniques for minimal business disruption.
Provide hypercare and post-migration support.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with BASIS, functional consultants, and business teams.
Conduct SDT-focused workshops and explain system impacts.
Document migration architecture and validation steps.
Required Skills & Experience
5–10+ years of SAP experience in ECC and S / 4HANA landscapes.
Strong hands-on experience with Selective Data Transfer, Shell Conversion, and SLT .
Good understanding of SAP master and transactional data (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, etc.).
Experience with SUM / DMO, Readiness Check, Consistency Check tools.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
