The core responsibility of QA Director is to manage the QA / QC program and teams in countries across Asia and Rest of the World through the different teams dedicated in sourcing countries in close collaboration with the team leaders, vendors and factories and aligned with EVP Product Integrity and the Production teams in New York.
Key Responsibilities :
Reporting into the Assurance Sub Business Line Director, QA Director assumes the following key responsibilities :
Primarily Accountable for the global management of the program in close liaison with the management in New York (EVP Product Integrity and Production teams)
Recruit, develop and manage QA / QC teams where required for the development of the QA / QC program
Manage, train and develop dedicated QA / QC team leaders in each of the key sourcing countries where is developing their production
Accountable for the strict adherence of the QA / QC teams to the designed 7 step process, reporting and communication requirements
Report on a set of defined KPIs to reflect the monthly activity of the overall program and to report management to / Eurofins on a frequency to be defined
Responsible in support with the QA / QC technical manager to develop and improve the program manual and operations documents
Support the invoicing process to monthly by ensuring the accuracy of data provided by each QA / QC teams based on latest contract agreement with and deliverables.
Ensure a flawless communication with executive management and inform
Establish good relationship with local agents / vendors / factories
Represent and protect company interests at all time
Conduct analyses (e.G. financial, strategic, operational, organizational)
Ensure all client requirements are communicated and met
Perform annual performance reviews for direct reporting personnel. Coordinate and review annual reviews of other personnel
Manage client satisfaction
Organize Liaison with Eurofins MTS and Consumer Product Testing Business Units (and others as required) to leverage its market leadership within the business line
Work with marketing resources accordingly to support the development of Eurofins MTS QA / QC offering
Work on potential M&A project linked to QA / QC or related services when required

Bachelors or advanced degree in Quality, Business, At least 10 years' experience in managing similar businesses and / or operations in Asia, APAC or similar size,
Quality Assurance / Production Experience
Demonstrated ability to lead businesses in relation to Quality Assurance & Quality control services in a production environment local yet globalized environment
Demonstrated ability to function in a collaborative environment with knowledge and capabilities to secure appropriate support resources to achieve business goals.
A proven track record of managing supply chain quality assurance for a retailer, brand or a large vendor base
Being results orientated and driven to exceed objectives set for turnover, profitability and service promotion is essential
Strong presentation and public speaking skills is a must
High proficiency and fluent in written and spoken English
Out of the box thinker, self-motivated, result-driven and working independently
Softline Industry Experience :
The candidate needs to have at least 10 years experience in manufacturing of apparel, Softline, footwear products for a large regional or multinational brand or retailer, key vendor.
The candidate has also a vast experience in Quality Assurance, lean Management and Quality Control processes and systems, having led a team for a large retailer / brand, or on behalf of key vendors
Supervisory Responsibility : Experience in managing a business unit and workforce in a regional network, remotely.
Ability and / or Skills (BMQ) : Appropriate knowledge to drive, support and insure business growth
Ability to motivate and influence others to act in the appropriate business culture and environment
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact successfully with internal and external customers and develop communications and report to upper management.
Demonstrated ability with personal computer software in a business environment, including word processing, spreadsheet, and email software, Project Management, and resource planning software.
Travel Requirements
Must be able to travel to accomplish the duties of the position including Italy, overnight stay required, sometimes international travel. Travel is approximately or less than 30% annually.
Safety Requirements
Given the nature of supply chain in emerging countries, personal safety is extremely important and prior trip approval will be designed in collaboration with the program director to make sure that all necessary steps are in place to ensure his safety.
