The Legal Manager will handle legal notices, litigation, court matters, and maintain Legal MIS / Dashboards for the bank. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, external counsel, and ensuring legal compliance across business activities.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and respond to legal notices and customer disputes.
Manage litigation matters including civil, criminal, recovery, arbitration, DRT / DRAT cases.
Coordinate with external advocates, review pleadings, and track court hearings / orders.
Provide legal advice on banking operations, lending, recovery, and regulatory issues.
Review contracts, loan documents, and agreements.
prepare periodic reports for management.
Support internal teams by providing timely legal inputs and risk mitigation guidance.
Qualifications & Experience
LL.M. preferred.
5–10 years of legal experience, with exposure to banking / financial services.
Strong experience in litigation management, legal drafting, and court coordination.
Good understanding of banking laws, SARFAESI, NI Act, Contract Act, and RBI guidelines.
Skills
Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage high-volume legal cases and deadlines.
Proficiency in Excel / Power BI for Legal MIS (preferred).
High integrity, attention to detail, and stakeholder management.
