Openshift Admin + Ansible Automation

Role Description :

The RedHat OpenShift Platform Administrator would need to have at least 4-7 years of experience. In this role, you will primarily focus on administering and supporting the OpenShift Container Platform ecosystem for the organization in both public cloud and on premises. This includes managing container tenant provisioning, isolation, and capacity.

With expertise in Ansible Automation Platform to manage and optimize our OpenShift clusters while developing and implementing effective Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for Red Hat OpenShift. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our container orchestration environments.

Additionally, understanding application development lifecycles as well practical experience in working with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools as part of the container lifecycle will be useful.

Principle Responsibilities :

OpenShift Administration :

• Manage, monitor, and optimize Red Hat OpenShift clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Experience in Installing OpenShift cluster using UPI / IPI method.
• Manage the container platform ecosystem (installation, upgrade, patching, monitoring)
• Implement best practices for cluster security, networking configurations, and resource management.
• Experience in managing OpenShift storage, Networking & Knowledge in troubleshooting the deployment / pod issues.
• Cluster capacity management and provisioning through automation of underlying hosts
• Provides L2 / L3 engineering support & mentor team members.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery / Deployment & Management using technologies like Jenkins, Git, Ansible or comparable tools.
• Conduct regular backups and perform system upgrades while minimizing downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OpenShift, ensuring minimal service interruption.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize the container deployment lifecycle.
