Head of Design

Job Title : Design Head – PEB (Pre-Engineered Buildings)

Location : Hyderabad

Reporting To : Director / Technical Head / Managing Director

Job Purpose :

To lead and manage the design and engineering activities for Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) projects, ensuring structural integrity, cost-effectiveness, compliance with standards, and timely delivery of design outputs.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the Design & Engineering team for all PEB projects.
• Review and approve design calculations, connection designs, and fabrication drawings.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry codes (AISC, MBMA, IS codes, etc.) and client specifications.
• Coordinate with sales, estimation, project management, and production teams to provide optimal design solutions.
• Optimize designs for material efficiency and structural performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to design engineers and detailers.
• Manage Tekla / STAAD / MBS modeling and drawing accuracy.
• Review and finalize Design Basis Reports (DBR) and ensure all design deliverables meet quality standards.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors for design approvals and clarifications.
• Monitor project timelines and ensure on-time release of design drawings to manufacturing.
• Drive innovation and cost optimization initiatives within the design department.

Required Skills & Competencies :

Qualification & Experience :

B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering.

15–20 years of experience in PEB design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Prior experience in reputed PEB manufacturing or design firms is preferred.
