About the Role
We are looking for a CAD Operator specialized in Autodesk Advance Steel to support the design, detailing, and documentation of steel structures. The role requires solid technical skills, precision, and the ability to collaborate closely with engineers and project managers. This position is hands-on : we expect someone who can take a model from concept to fabrication drawings without babysitting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage 3D models in Autodesk Advance Steel for structural steel projects.
- Produce fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs, and workshop documentation.
- Ensure models and drawings meet project specifications, industry standards, and internal quality requirements.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, and workshop to resolve design issues.
- Review and update drawings based on redlines, design revisions, and client feedback.
- Maintain organized project files and ensure consistent naming conventions and workflows.
- Support the optimization of internal CAD standards and modeling procedures.
Requirements
Proven experience as a CAD Operator or Steel Detailer working with Autodesk Advance Steel (mandatory).Strong understanding of structural steel components, connections, and fabrication processes.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Familiarity with industry standards related to steel structures (EN is the only used).Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail — mistakes here cost real money.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Good English communication skills for technical documentation and coordination.Nice to Have
Knowledge of CNC data export, CAM integration, or workshop processes.Experience with parametric modeling or customization in Advance Steel.Background in civil, mechanical, or structural engineering.What We Offer
