We’re looking for an OpenShift engineer with solid hands-on experience in deploying, managing, and operating OpenShift 4.x environments. Someone who understands cluster components, can handle day-to-day operations, and is comfortable working across CI / CD, GitOps, platform tuning, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities :
OpenShift Platform Administration
Deploy, configure, and manage OpenShift clusters (connected and disconnected environments).
Work with cluster operators, machine configs, ingress, storage classes, and network configurations.
Handle routine platform tasks like projects, quotas, RBAC, user / group management, and namespace governance.
Perform OpenShift upgrades, node reboots, cluster validations, and issue resolution.
Containers & Microservices Support
Support developers in onboarding microservices onto OpenShift.
Manage routing, ingress, config maps, secrets, PVCs, and application deployments.
Implement and troubleshoot Service Mesh setups (traffic routing, distributed tracing, mTLS, sidecar management).
CI / CD, GitOps & Automation
Build and maintain Tekton pipelines for automated deployments.
Implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD for environment sync and drift management.
Automate platform tasks using Ansible, oc CLI, and scripting.
Platform Security & Policy Management
Work with ACS or similar tools for vulnerability scans, compliance checks, and image security.
Manage network policies, Pod Security Standards (PSS), and basic cluster hardening controls.
Monitoring, Logging & Reliability
Configure and manage OpenShift monitoring stack (Prometheus / Grafana) and centralized logging.
Troubleshoot cluster performance issues at the pod / node / network / operator level.
Implement health checks, alerting, and basic SRE practices to improve stability.
Required Skills :
4–5 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift (preferably OCP 4.x).
Strong understanding of containers, operators, networking, and OpenShift architecture.
Experience with GitOps (ArgoCD) and CI / CD pipelines (Tekton / Jenkins).
Good familiarity with logging / monitoring tools and troubleshooting distributed applications.
Strong Linux fundamentals and command-line skills.
Nice-to-Have (Not Mandatory) :
Exposure to AMQ Streams (Kafka) or 3scale is good but not required.
Basic scripting for automation.
Understanding of Service Mesh concepts.
