Essential duties of this role :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Infrastructure Management : Overseeing the management of data centres, local and wide area networks (LAN / WAN / Wi-Fi), server infrastructure, virtualization technologies, identity and access management systems, messaging and collaboration platforms, storage solutions, backup and disaster recovery systems, cloud infrastructure, and end-user computing environments. System Optimization : Ensuring optimal system security, uptime, and performance to support uninterrupted business operations. This involves proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing performance enhancements. Security and Compliance : Developing and enforcing security policies, access controls, and compliance standards. This includes strengthening network defences, conducting thorough risk assessments, and implementing industry-leading security best practices. Strategic Alignment : Ensuring that the IT infrastructure is robust, scalable, secure, and efficient, and that it effectively supports the company's business operations and strategic objectives. This is particularly crucial within the dynamic and demanding environment of the construction industry, with its diverse project sites and mobile workforce. Implement an Information Security Management System (ISMS) by defining objectives, developing comprehensive policies, establishing detailed procedures, ensuring training and awareness, and regularly monitoring and reviewing the system.

Work Experience Requirements : Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position, preferably 10 – 12 yrs. Managed Datacenters & LAN / WAN / WIFI Server Administration : Proficiency in managing Windows Server or Linux operating systems. Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) / Active Directory / Directory Services : Data storage management and optimization. Cloud Infrastructure (Increasingly Important) Basic knowledge of IaC. ITIL / Service Management : Endpoint managements with patch management etc. Ability to create and test disaster recovery plans. Mobile Device Management (MDM) : Proficiency in Network Security / Knowledge of network protocols (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP) and security frameworks (Eg : ISO 27001). Experience with security & SOC, NOC solutions, VPNs, NAC Risk assessment and management. Project management

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Experience : 10+ Years
