Accountant

Job Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day financial transactions and compliance tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling Accounts Receivable (AR) , Accounts Payable (AP) , GST filing , TDS compliance , Billing and supporting audit processes . This position requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and familiarity with current tax and financial regulations in India.

Key Responsibilities : Accounts Receivable (AR) : Generate and send customer invoices accurately and on time.

Monitor incoming payments and follow up on overdue invoices.

Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain aging reports and ensure timely collections.

Accounts Payable (AP) : Verify and process supplier / vendor invoices.

Ensure timely payments and maintain payment schedules.

Manage vendor reconciliations and respond to payment-related queries.

Track advances and maintain proper documentation.

GST Filing & Compliance : Prepare and file monthly / quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).

Perform GST reconciliations (GSTR-2B vs books).

Maintain accurate records for audit and compliance purposes.

Ensure compliance with applicable GST laws and updates.

TDS Management : Calculate TDS as per applicable sections and ensure timely deduction.

Deposit TDS payments and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 26Q, 27Q, etc.).

Generate and issue TDS certificates (Form 16A).

Reconcile Form 26AS with books.

Audit Support : Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documents.

Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors during audits.

Address audit queries and implement control recommendations.

Ensure timely closure of audit observations.

Qualifications & Skills : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (B.Com / M.Com).

1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.

Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, etc.).

Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws – GST, TDS, etc.

Familiarity with MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional) : Experience with audit firms or working with ERP systems.

Knowledge of ROC filings or Income Tax compliance.
