Tech and ME / M. Tech in a ENTC or Electronics background with first-class or equivalent in either BE / B. Tech or ME / M. Tech in ENTC or Electronics background.Ph.D. (mandatory) or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as Mechatronics, Electronic & Telecommunications Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering. Qualifications must align with AICTE guidelines.Experience : - Minimum fifteen (15) years experience in Teaching / Research / Industry out of which at least 5 years shall be at the level of Professor with significant leadership experience in program development in sustainable energy or a related field.- Should have worked for NAAC / NIRF / any other academic accreditations.- Administrative experience (HOD, BOS, Academic council) grant, funding projects, NITI Aayog, AICTE, FDP, sponsorships for students and teachers.- Proven track record in leading interdisciplinary teams, managing academic programs, and driving research initiatives and publications, securing research funding, in sustainable energy.Research Contributions : - Successfully guided at least two (2) Ph.D. scholars as supervisor.- Published a minimum of ten (10) research papers in Scopus, SCI journals, or UGC / AICTE-approved journals with a citation index.- Authored or contributed to books.- Patent grants will be preferred.- Post-Ph.D. publications and ongoing guidance of Ph.D. students are highly desirable.Leadership and Administrative Experience : - Prior leadership roles in academic or research institutions, demonstrating the ability to manage programs, accreditations, budgets, faculty, and strategic planning.Industry Experience : - Industry experience, if considered, should be at a managerial level equivalent to that of a Professor. It must include a demonstrated record of active participation in activities such as devising, designing, developing, planning, executing, analyzing, quality control, innovation, training, and contributions like technical books, research paper publications, IPRs, or patents, as deemed appropriate by the expert members of the selection committee. A strong aptitude for management and leadership is essential and will be assessed by the expert members of the selection committee.Roles and Responsibilities : - Lead the Department of Mechatronics in developing and implementing strategic plans, curricula, and research projects that align with Symbiosis University's goals and the evolving industry.- Foster a research-driven environment that supports high-quality publications, grants, and collaborations with other academic and industry entities.- Design and enhance curricula that balance theoretical and practical aspects, keeping pace with trends in automation, robotics, AI, and IoT in Mechatronics.- Establish partnerships with leading companies for internships, research, and industry- sponsored projects, ensuring students gain hands-on experience.- Oversee student engagement programs, advising initiatives, and mentorship opportunities, particularly for students specializing in robotics, automation, and other Mechatronics disciplines.- Mentor and develop faculty within the department, promoting a culture of continuous learning and innovation.Position : Associate Professor- Educational Qualifications : - BE / B. Tech and ME / M. Tech in a ENTC or Electronics background with first-class or equivalent in either BE / B. Tech or ME / M. Tech in ENTC or Electronics background.- Ph.D. (mandatory) or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as Mechatronics, Electronic & Telecommunications Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering. Qualifications must align with AICTE guidelines.- Experience : - Minimum fifteen 8 years experience in Teaching / Research / Industry out of which at least 5 years shall be at the level of Associate Professor or Assistant professor 8 yrs with significant experience in program development in sustainable energy or a related field.- Note : Candidates called for Interview will have to produce all the documents in original with one set of self attested copies otherwise he / she may not be permitted to attend the interview.
