Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related fields. Proven experience in social media management, ideally in news / media organizations. Proficiency in social media and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Google Analytics). Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities. English and Hindi is a must Experience with video creation, live streaming, SEO, and paid social media strategies. Ability to design creatives using tools like Photoshop / Canva. Knowledge of live-streaming software like OBS / Vmix. Strong interest and understanding of regional and national news.
Experience : 2-3 years
Role Summary : Seeking a strategic and innovative Social Media Manager to drive our social media initiatives in a news-focused environment. The role requires expertise in amplifying breaking news, engaging audiences, and growing platform traffic through creative and data-driven strategies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with editorial and business goals.
- Manage content creation, scheduling, and optimization across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, , and YouTube.
- Foster audience engagement through active interactions and timely responses.
- Plan and implement social media campaigns to expand audience reach and website traffic.
- Track, analyze, and report social media performance, offering actionable insights.
- Stay updated on social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
