Silicon Labs - Associate Staff Engineer - Embedded Systems

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Staff Engineer to join our Matter Stack team, contributing to the development and optimization of embedded software for smart home and IoT applications.

This role demands strong technical expertise in embedded systems, C++, and wireless protocols, along with a proven ability to mentor team members and drive technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software components for the Matter protocol stack.
• Lead technical initiatives and guide the team in solving complex engineering challenges.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Matter with Wi-Fi and Thread-based platforms.
• Perform hands-on debugging using industry-standard tools (e.g., JTAG, GDB, Logic Analyzers).
• Optimize performance and reliability of embedded systems in resource-constrained environments.
• Contribute to protocol compliance, certification, and interoperability testing.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical documentation.
