About the Role :
We’re hiring Databricks Support Engineers across L2 and SME levels to ensure the smooth monitoring, troubleshooting, and stability of Databricks workloads. This role is focused on maintaining platform reliability, resolving production issues, supporting data pipelines, and ensuring high availability across environments. At the SME level, deep expertise in Spark, Databricks architecture, and performance tuning is essential to handle complex issues and drive long-term platform stability.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitor Databricks clusters, jobs, workflows and pipelines
Handle alerts, job failures and workspace issues
Debug notebook errors across Spark, SQL and Delta Lake
Rerun / retrigger jobs as per SOP and ensure health checks
Prepare daily dashboards, summaries and incident reports
Manage RBAC / access requests for users and workspaces
Participate in Sev1 / Sev2 incidents (SME) and support RCA
Build governance, security and compliance practices
Identify recurring issues and coordinate with Platform Engineering
Provide SME-level guidance for complex Spark and cluster problems (SME)
Must-Have Skills :
Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (clusters, jobs, repos, MLflow, warehouse)
UNIX, SQL and Shell scripting
Spark UI understanding and job debugging
Knowledge of Azure Cloud and CI / CD (Azure DevOps)
