Video Editor

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Video Editor located in Vadodara with some work from home flexibility. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting. This includes camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects. The Video Editor will work closely with the creative team to understand project scope and objectives, review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes' value and contribution to continuity. Day-to-day tasks will also involve trimming footage segments, inputting music, dialogues, graphics, and effects, ensuring logical sequencing and smooth running, and consulting with stakeholders from production to post-production process.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Avid Media Composer
• Skills in graphics and motion graphics design including the use of software like After Effects and Photoshop
• Understanding of post-production processes like color correction, sound editing, and mastering
• Strong storytelling and visual composition skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
• Knowledge of contemporary trends and techniques in video editing and production
