Role Overview :
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Server Support Engineer to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot server infrastructure and enterprise systems.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in Windows and / or Linux server environments, virtualization, networking, and hardware maintenance, and should be capable of ensuring optimal server performance, uptime, and Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows / Linux).
- Monitor server performance, system logs, and resolve server-related issues to maintain uptime and reliability.
- Perform regular system backups, patching, updates, and recovery planning.
- Troubleshoot hardware failures, disk / storage issues, RAID configurations, and OS-level problems.
- Manage user access, permissions, Active Directory, and domain services.
- Configure and manage server roles and features (DNS, DHCP, IIS, FTP, SMTP, etc.
- Support virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or KVM.
- Collaborate with network, security, and database teams to ensure full-stack server health.
- Ensure compliance with data security standards, server hardening, and audit requirements.
- Maintain documentation on configurations, standard procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Participate in on-call rotation and handle after-hours server support when Skills Required : Systems :

- Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
- IIS (Internet Information Services)
- File and Print Services
- Terminal Services / Remote Desktop & Cloud :
- VMware vSphere / ESXi
- Microsoft Hyper-V
- Basic exposure to AWS EC2 or Azure Virtual Machines & Management Tools :
- Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar monitoring tools
- PowerShell scripting and shell scripting for automation
- Remote administration tools (RDP, SSH, IPMI, iLO, & Storage :
- TCP / IP, routing, VLAN, subnets
- SAN, NAS, RAID configuration
- Network troubleshooting using tools like & Compliance :
- Patch management tools (WSUS, SCCM)
- Antivirus / Endpoint protection solutions (Symantec, McAfee, Defender ATP)
- Log analysis and vulnerability :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft MCSA / MCSE, CompTIA Server+, VMware Certified Professional, RHCSA / RHCE).
- 26 years of hands-on experience in server support and IT infrastructure management.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
