Job Description :

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to oversee and optimize our web infrastructure in a dynamic digital agency environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Linux server administration, cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, and secure deployment practices. This role offers the opportunity to work across various hosting platforms, manage scalable deployment processes, and support developers in delivering high-performance applications.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Server & Cloud Infrastructure Management :
Set up and maintain Linux-based servers (Ubuntu, CentOS) in staging and production.
Manage cloud infrastructure including AWS EC2, S3, RDS, Route 53, and DigitalOcean.
Configure Docker containers, web servers (Apache / Nginx), firewalls, and server environments.
Monitor server uptime and performance using tools like Netdata, CloudWatch, or equivalent.

Hosting & Deployment Automation :

Manage deployment across multiple platforms : Cloudways, AWS Lightsail, Hostinger, etc.

Implement CI / CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.

Handle domain setup, DNS configuration, and SSL certificate installations.

Automate routine server and application tasks for smooth deployment cycles.

Security & Backup Management :

Apply server hardening policies, firewall rules (UFW / IPTables), and access controls.

Monitor logs, assess vulnerabilities, and respond to threats or incidents proactively.

Manage automated backup systems and ensure fast recovery strategies.

Troubleshooting & Developer Support

Investigate server / app-level issues including PHP, WordPress, or database errors.

Provide support to developers on environment setup, plugin conflicts, and hosting errors.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers and hosting providers.

Version Control & Code Collaboration

Administer GitHub repositories, branches, and permissions.

Support merge / pull request workflows and maintain code stability across environments.

Ensure continuous integration pipelines are functional and efficient.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Proven experience as SysAdmin, DevOps Engineer, or IT Administrator.

Strong Linux expertise (Ubuntu / CentOS) and scripting knowledge (Bash / SH).

Proficiency with Docker, Git, SSH, and CI / CD pipelines.

Strong knowledge of PHP, WordPress, and MySQL / MariaDB troubleshooting.

Hands-on with AWS services and DNS / SSL / server security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications :

AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner, SysOps Administrator, etc.).

Experience with large-scale WordPress or Multisite architecture.

Familiarity with Cloudflare, CDNs, and server-side caching.

Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
