Tax & Treasury Analyst

Key Responsibilities :

Treasury and Cash Flow

Maintain summary of bank accounts across the Group.

Set up new bank accounts as required.

Close bank accounts as required.

User administration on all banking platforms.

Manage bank mandates.

Liaise with banking relationship managers.

Involvement in FX hedging.

Inputs into weekly cashflow model from bank statements.

Monitor all bank balances to ensure sufficient funds.

Complete bank reconciliations throughout the month and at month-end for all bank accounts.

Month-end balance sheet reconciliations for cash accounts.

Assist with other ad hoc treasury and cash flow related tasks / queries as they arise.

Tax

Complete monthly / quarterly returns for VAT, Sales Tax and GST.

Assist with certain annual returns, including P11D (b) and PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA).

Assist the Financial Operations & Tax Manager with year-end corporation tax audits and returns, liaise with external providers.

Assist with liaising with HMRC and other tax authorities, as required.

Assist the Accounts Receivable team with tax matters, for example withholding tax.

Assist with other ad hoc tax-related queries as they arise.

Supporting on Transfer Pricing documentation for the Group

Essential :

You are a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).

You have experience of managing UK and non-UK tax affairs.

You are technically minded, with experience using Oracle Netsuite or similar Finance systems.

You have strong Excel skills to manage large / complex datasets.

You have experience preparing UK Corporate Tax, UK VAT Group returns

Experience working in a multi-currency environment.

You thrive working in a fast-paced environment.

You have excellent interpersonal skills, and enjoy being part of an energised and highly motivated team

You are inquisitive, and keen to collaborate with the wider Finance team and non-Finance functions

Nice to have :

You have recent experience in Finance automation and best practice implementation projects

You have experience working for a Private Equity owned company

Experience working in the maritime industry
