Responsible for overseeing and managing the income tax compliance and reporting process for the organization. Your role will involve leading a team of articles & income tax assistants to ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of income tax returns, compliance with tax regulations, and effective tax planning strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external tax advisors to optimize the company's tax position while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws.

Key Responsibilities :

Team Management :

Lead and supervise a team of articles & income tax assistants, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure their growth and development.

Allocate tasks and responsibilities among team members based on their strengths and expertise.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance.

Income Tax Compliance :

Oversee the preparation and filing of income tax returns (corporate, partnership, individual) in compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.

Review tax computations and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to established guidelines.

Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate relevant updates to the team.

Tax Planning and Strategy :

Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to implement tax planning strategies that optimize the company's tax position while maintaining compliance.

Identify potential tax-saving opportunities and recommend tax-efficient solutions to minimize tax liabilities.

Internal / Statutory / Tax Audit :

Oversee vouching, ledger scrutiny and analytical procedures for internal audits, tax audits and statutory audits. Monitor reporting, preparation of financial statements and statutory disclosure requirements.

Compliance and Reporting :

Ensure timely and accurate reporting of tax-related information for financial statements and other regulatory filings.

Monitor the documentation of tax policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain compliance standards.

Requirements :

• Graduate with 4+ years’ experience in CA office.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
• Proven experience in income tax preparation and compliance, including experience with
• corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
• Strong understanding of income tax laws, regulations, and tax planning strategies.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• The Income Tax Team Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization's compliance with tax laws and optimizing its tax position.
