Paralegal - Commercial Contracts – Bengaluru India

eBay is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven, well organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and business-focused individual to support an international role located in Bengaluru India . This hybrid role requires in-office presence at least three days a week, offering an opportunity to immerse yourself in our business, lead contract negotiations, and provide crucial commercial insights that directly influence our strategic direction. In this challenging role, you will be an integral member of the commercial legal team providing support to internal business clients in connection with contracting. The ideal candidate is someone who can work collaboratively in a high-volume workload amongst a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-oriented environment.

Job Description And Primary Responsibilities

In this role, you will play a key role in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various commercial contracts across the business, such as amendments, statements of work, and lower risk agreements. You should have very strong communication skills and a proactive work-ethic. The successful candidate will need to adapt to changing priorities and business needs, must be proactive in identifying areas of need and generating and follow-through on action plans. This role is a critical and essential part of the commercial contracts team. You will be instrumental in streamlining the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the department and our internal business clients to facilitate meaningful change.

This is a full-time position. This position will require extensive interaction with eBay Global Legal Attorneys, eBay businesses and third-party service providers. This is not an attorney position.

Job Activities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Review and negotiate contracts such as amendments, statements of work, renewals, non-disclosure agreements, services agreements, etc.;
• Mitigate legal risks with an understanding of business objectives;
• Create and maintain standardized templates, playbooks, guidelines, and checklists to support contract negotiation workflows;
• Assist business partners with the preparation of contract summaries and risk assessments;
• Assist and work with contract administrators to analyze and assign contracts based on legal risk, support function, language and other guidelines;
• Train and educate our business partners to understand the contracts submission process;
• Work closely with legal colleagues on the development and implementation of new commercial contracting policies and procedures; and
• Assist with in-depth legal research, special projects and other duties as may be assigned.
