About the Project
InstaSupply is building a full marketplace ecosystem for construction materials :
- Customer app
- Supplier app
- Driver app
- Admin system
- Real-time delivery tracking
- AI-powered product search
- Supplier sync with Shopify, Clover, QuickBooks and more
You will architect and build the backend that powers the entire platform.
What You Will Build
Authentication + user roles (customer, supplier, driver)Product catalog, categories, inventory APIsCart, checkout, pricing logicOrder creation, transitions, and reportingDriver routing + live location updatesPush notification triggersWebhooks + third-party integrationsAdmin API for supplier approvalsAI search endpoints (with vector DB)Logs, caching, queue systemsCore Responsibilities
Design and develop secure REST APIsBuild scalable backend architecture from scratchIntegrate Shopify, Clover, QuickBooks and other external APIsImplement real-time updates (WebSockets or equivalent)Work with mobile engineer to expose clean endpointsEnsure performance, reliability, and securityDeploy to cloud (AWS / GCP) with CI / CDRequired Skills
Strong experience in Node.jsHands-on with MongoDB or PostgreSQLExperience designing complex API systemsReal-time technologies : WebSockets / Socket.io / FirebaseSystem architecture, caching, queues (Redis / RabbitMQ)Experience integrating third-party APIsStrong debugging & problem-solving skillsSolid Git disciplineBonus Skills
