We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator to manage mission-critical databases across AWS RDS, EC2, and On-Premises (EnterpriseDB) environments.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in performance tuning, schema design, backup strategies, replication, and disaster recovery, while also contributing to automation and DevOps Responsibilities Administration & Optimization :

• Administer, monitor, and optimize PostgreSQL instances on AWS RDS, EC2, and On-Prem (EDB).
• Conduct query tuning, index optimization, and schema refactoring for high-performance workloads.
• Perform database health checks, capacity planning, and proactive performance Security, Backup & Recovery :
• Implement and manage backups, point-in-time recovery (PITR), replication, and failover strategies.
• Design and execute disaster recovery and high availability & DevOps Integration :
• Develop shell scripts and integrate Terraform / Ansible for automated provisioning, maintenance, and monitoring.
• Support CI / CD pipelines and database deployments in cloud-native & Hybrid Infrastructure :
• Participate in cloud migrations from On-Prem to AWS / Azure / OpenShift.
• Manage multi-cloud PostgreSQL environments with consistent performance and security & Documentation :
• Work closely with application developers, DevOps, and system administrators to ensure database efficiency.
• Maintain detailed SOPs, architecture diagrams, and process documentation in Jira, GitHub, and relevant Skills & Expertise Administration :
• 3+ years hands-on PostgreSQL experience in AWS RDS, EC2, and EDB environments.
• Strong skills in indexing strategies, query execution plans, schema changes, joins, and primary key DBA Proficiency :
• 8+ years in database administration, covering architecture, replication, clustering, backup strategies, and & Infrastructure :
• AWS expertise (RDS, EC2, S3) required; Azure / OpenShift knowledge a plus.
• Exposure to cloud-native tools and deployment OS :
• 65%+ hands-on operations, performance tuning, and shell scripting in Linux / Unix & Scripting :
• Proficiency in Bash / Shell scripting; working knowledge of Tools :
• Experience with Jira for task tracking and GitHub for version Skills :
• PostgreSQL version upgrades, patching, and migrations.
• Advanced EnterpriseDB (EDB) Postgres administration.
• Terraform / Ansible automation expertise.
• Multi-cloud deployment experience.
• Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines for database deployments.
