Network Security Engineer - Palo Alto Firewall

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and maintain enterprise-level network firewalls ensuring secure and optimized performance
• Monitor network activity using Splunk and other tools to identify anomalies and respond to incidents
• Implement, configure, and troubleshoot network security protocols and firewall rules
• Support cloud-based infrastructure across AWS or Azure, ensuring seamless integration with on-prem networks
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to design and implement network solutions
• Perform regular audits, risk assessments, and patching to maintain network security compliance
• Document network configurations, standard operating procedures, and incident reports
• Proactively monitor performance, resolve issues, and ensure high availability of network Skills & Qualifications :
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Network Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA, or similar)
• Strong experience in cloud platforms : AWS or Microsoft Azure
• Experience working with Splunk for log analysis, monitoring, and alerting
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts including TCP / IP, DNS, VPN, routing, and switching
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting firewall rules, NAT, ACLs, and security zones
• Strong understanding of network security best practices and compliance standards
• Excellent communication and troubleshooting Skills :
• Certifications such as CCNA Security, AWS Certified Networking Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or equivalent
• Experience with SIEM tools, IDS / IPS systems, and cloud-native security tools
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) for networking in cloud environments
