Job description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server administration.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing database environments across Windows and Linux systems.

This role involves working on high-availability setups, database performance tuning, backup / restore operations, and cloud migrations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Administer and maintain PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server databases in Windows / Linux environments
  • Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, patching, and upgrades
  • Configure and manage replication setups (master / slave, failover, and recovery scenarios)
  • Ensure database security, user access control, and role-based permissions
  • Monitor database performance and conduct performance tuning and optimization
  • Support on-premises to cloud database migration projects
  • Work with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, for database hosting and management
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues related to performance, availability, and data integrity
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support application requirements
  • Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards

Required Qualifications & Skills :

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server database administration
  • Experience in both Windows and Linux server environments
  • Proficient in database backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Hands-on experience with replication configuration, failovers, and recovery processes
  • Experience with cloud database environments, preferably AWS
  • Familiarity with on-prem to cloud migration strategies
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning techniques and query optimization
  • Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
