Associate - Workday Data Conversion

Job Overview :

Consultant in Workday Data Conversions :

Responsible for data migrations in Workday implementation projects. This role involves converting data from legacy systems to Workday and collaborating directly with client and cross-functional teams. The consultant needs to be aware of Workday and Core-HCM / Finance modules.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Conversion Implementations :

Execute end-to-end data conversions for Workday implementations including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)

Technical discussons with clients on legacy data structures and defining data-conversion technical requirements

Data Mapping & Migration :

Perform data mapping from legacy systems to Workday, ensuring accurate field mappings.

Create scripts and queries to extract and transform data from legacy HR, Payroll, Finance, and other systems.

Perform data loads into Workday using Workday-specific tools like EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Workday Studio.

Data Validation & Quality :

Conduct data pre-validations, post-load-validations in Workday and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy post-migration.

Work closely with client teams to identify and resolve data discrepancies and ensure data quality throughout the conversion process.

Collaboration :

Partner with Conversion lead, Functional consultants, and Client teams to ensure data conversion is delivered on time and meets the project objectives.

Client Interaction :

Act as one of the POCs for clients during the data conversion phase, offering technical expertise and advising on best practices.

Addressing technical issues and responding to clients with technical solutioning.

Technical Skills :

1) Workday tools - EIBs, iLoads, Customer Central

2) Experience with ETL tools for data-conversions / data-migrations

3) SQL

4) Good to have- Workday Studio / Workday Prism Analytics

5) Develop automation processes for recurring data loads and updates to improve efficiency.

Training & Documentation :

Create / Update data conversion documentation (mapping documents, test plans, error logs etc)

Qualifications : Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources or a related field.

Experience :

1-5 years of experience in Workday implementations with a focus on data conversions and Workday Implementations

Strong experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading from legacy systems into Workday.

Proven expertise in using Workday tools (EIB, Workday Studio, Workday Prism Analytics) for data conversions.

Proficient in SQL and other database query languages.

Experience with legacy systems such as PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, or ADP.

Knowledge of ETL tools and processes and data migration best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience interacting with clients and cross-functional teams.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

Active Workday Certification

Good to have- Certification in Data Conversion or related technical area

Experience working in a consulting environment, leading multiple projects concurrently.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
