What you will do
- Perform mooring strength and fatigue analyses for passive and thruster-assisted spread and turret moored systems.
- Provide advice / guidance on differences between and use of various station-keeping codes ( API 2SK, 2SM, 2I, ISO 19901-7, DNV E301) and assessment methods.
- Develop environmental load cases used in mooring strength and fatigue analyses for passive and thruster-assisted spread and turret moored systems.
- Review, interpret, and evaluate contractor-supplied mooring analyses, and identify critical parameters, guide contractor in analysis methods.
- Provide technical guidance during the execution of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs for mooring systems and assessment of mooring anomalies.
- Provide technical guidance during a Root Cause of Failure Analysis (RCFA) Team.
- Provide guidance on mooring system installation, replacement, and repair.
- Perform Drift-Off and Drive-Off analyses for dynamically positioned vessels.
- Understands Dynamic Positioning (DP) system architecture, DP system components and system performance.
- Sustain ExxonMobil’s culture of safety and support compliance with established safety management systems for our fleet of floating assets.
- Mentor less experienced marine engineers
About You
Skills and Qualifications
Master’s / post-graduate degree in engineering (naval architecture, ocean, structural, aerospace or a related discipline) score 70% and above (equivalent CGPA)Minimum 5 years of experience in Naval Architecture or Integrity Management of Floating Structures.Experience in the design, engineering or integrity management of FPSOsSignificant experience in mooring analyses of passive and thruster-assisted spread and turret moored systems.Experience in hydrodynamics and motion analysis of floating platformsExperienced in mathematical, statistical, and reliability analyses related to station-keeping and motions.Good working knowledge in mooring hardware and related systems ( winches and chain jacks) for floating structures.General knowledge of floating asset types (Spar, TLP, FPSO, FSO, FSRU, FLNG) in terms of concept description, key features, application range and operations.Relevant knowledge in anchor typesBasic knowledge in geotechnical analysis, riser systems analyses.Understands dynamic concepts such as resonance, modal analysis, non-linear damping, coupled and un-coupled analyses, etcPreferred Qualifications / Experience
