The Cloud Operations Automation Engineer - Technology R&D is responsible for designing, developing, building, implementing and maintaining automation tools for Signant Health's products and services.

We're on the hunt for a new Cloud Operations Automation Engineer for one of our teams working on the R&D area of the business. The position gives you a great view on how all aspects of presales activities are performed for a study.

Prior knowledge of handling multi and complex tasks, on a volume of projects is seen as an asset / would be advantageous.

As part of our team, your main responsibilities will be to :

Have a key position in CloudOps organization doing designing, developing, building, implementing and maintaining automation tools ("IaC") to optimize MS Azure / AWS environments, deployment pipelines and support the CloudOps team
Coordinate the implementation of projects and work requests involving other stakeholders.
Ensure our system remains in compliance with industry standards, regulations and security best practices.
Obsession to automate and streamline manual, menial and repetitive processes / tasks by choosing the right tool and implementation framework.
Create and maintain necessary documentation and training to ensure that automation tools are correctly used and features updates have been met.

You’ll need to bring :

Proven 5+ years of experience in a similar DevOps engineering / automation role

Proven 5+ years of hands-on enterprise (100+ VMs) IaaS : AWS / MS Azure

3+ years of enterprise level experience in automation tools : Terraform, MS Azure Powershell, Ansible, etc

Experience with different Kubernetes flavors : AWS EKS, Azure AKS

Fluency in two or more programming languages (Python, Perl, advanced PowerShell)

Ability to find or build algorithms and processes / flowcharts out of existing ambiguous implementation by identifying the core components, inter-dependencies, decision flow process, etc

Very strong communication skills : ability to explain complex technical problems to non-technical staff as well as fully and correctly understand functional and non-functional requirements.

Ability to work independently .
