Software Architect ( Frontend Full Stack)

Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Software Architect who will be an important partner and a influencer in creating and delivering solutions, with Autodesk enterprise platform strategy. As an architect at Autodesk, you will help design and build architecture solutions and recommended improvements. You will participate in multiple forums, drive cross platform initiatives, communicate and represent the engineering needs and feedback coming from the teams. You will also provide technical leadership, mentoring & grooming senior developers to help the in taking higher responsibilities in developing and delivering reliable solutions. You will report to Director and will work from Pune location

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership within the organisation by creating and reviewing high-quality architecture designs, providing technical solutions and leading technical discussions

Work with product managers, user experience designers, tech leads, etc. to translate our needs and assess opportunities by evaluating technical feasibility and translate it to well-documented engineering solutions

Architect and lead technical implementation of new features in assigned area of ownership

Guide the design, architecture, and implementation of the next-generation progressive and hybrid web & mobile apps

Ensure the solution implementations achieve the desired quality attributes, such as performance and optimization, scalability, extensibility, security, and resiliency

Provide strategic advice to leadership team for the technical direction of Fusion products

Take an active part in the global architect forum by representing Pune site, leading cross team initiative and communicating action-items to the relevant people

Understanding the challenges, customers pain points and needs and the competitor landscape

Initiate plans and solutions to push the organization forward and take us to the next step in achieving our goals and engineering excellence

Put efforts in creating broad consensus, resolving conflicts and maintaining an effective, healthy and pleasant workspace environment

Be a role model with passionate and empathetic advocate of architecture, design, and software engineering principles

Identify performance bottlenecks, improve for scalability, efficiency, and cost effectiveness

Collaborate with a distributed team and partners

Contribute to and foster Autodesk culture values in the teams

Minimum Qualifications

Masters / Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

12+ years as a software developer working on enterprise software

5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing strategic front end projects based on Reacts.JS, TypeScript / JavaScript

Experience in software architecture

Experience of designing and implementing complex cross-platform software architecture

Experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, web tech stack

Guide broad consensus and understanding across teams and geographies

Work in a global and distributed environment

Must have fundamentals in technology with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, web technology stack, and exposure to backend development

Hands-on experience on development of progressive and hybrid web & mobile apps

Experience with API architecture and management

Familiarity with CAD software will be added advantage
