Job descriptionProviding technical support to Maintenance for continued airworthiness and reliability of aircraft, engines, avionics and related equipment. Resolving technical queries of maintenance and providing additional troubleshooting guidelines.Conducting event analyses and other technical investigations as needed and suggesting improvements for the effectiveness of the aircraft maintenance program. Reviewing aircraft defects and intervals of scheduled tasks thereby suggesting interval escalation / de-escalation to bring down the maintenance costs.Identify any significant trends observed in system / component performance. Liaison with the OEM to introduce measures for mitigating and / or resolving the issues. Introduce preventive measures to preclude technical occurrences to reduce the impact on operational costs.Ensuring recommended modifications are performed which improve aircraft performance by making data-driven decisions and performing cost-benefit analyses.Conduct and coordinate quarterly reliability meetings with stakeholders to discuss significant technical / operational issues and corresponding improvements introduced by OEMs and form consensus on their implementation.Review technical benefits and acceptance of manufacturer MSCN / SCNs.Cater to technical queries which need OEM intervention for in-service aircraft as well during redelivery checks.Develop a network with other operators and share / discuss the reliability data.Correspondence / liaison with vendors / OEM for system / component reliability enhancement by highlighting adverse trends, strip reports.Cater to technical requirements arising out of special or ad-hoc projects, like unique fleet maintenance requirements due on-set of large scale grounding and aircraft preservation due pandemic. Similar role to play during special engineering projects.
