About the job

As a Tech Lead at FLIR, you will lead a talented team of developers responsible for enhancing our United Video Management System (UVMS), a highly complex distributed system that involves advanced video and data management at scale. You will guide the team in developing new features, optimizing performance, and solving technical challenges, ensuring high-quality software delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Team leadership :  Provide technical guidance, remove blockers, and support team members to foster a collaborative and productive development environment.
  • Enterprise application development :  Lead the design, development, and maintenance of large-scale, distributed systems using C# .NET.
  • Legacy system support :  Oversee the ongoing support and improvement of legacy applications built on .NET WinForms.
  • Cross-functional collaboration :  Work with other teams to define, design, and deliver new features and functionalities that meet our high technical standards.
  • Performance optimization :  Ensure high performance, scalability, and responsiveness of applications by identifying and resolving performance issues.
  • Code quality :  Maintain high standards in code quality, architecture, and development practices. Lead code reviews and drive best practices in automation and testing.

    About You

  • We are looking for a Tech Lead with strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a passion for building high-quality software.
  • You have 5-10 years of experience as a full-stack developer, with strong skills in C#, C++ / Java, and ReactJS.
  • You have hands-on experience with multi-threaded programming in high-performance systems.
  • You have a solid background in working with SQL databases to design and optimize scalable backend services.
  • You’ve worked with complex, large-scale systems, ideally in a distributed architecture, and have experience with backend services and real-time data processing.
  • You have experience mentoring engineers, providing technical guidance, and promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
