About the Role

The person in position will be responsible for doing automation testing for next generation telematics platform, develop & maintain test scripts and drive automation test strategy for platform.

What You Will Do

  • Automation framework concept development for telematics Domain
  • Automation strategy development for API validation, Overall System validation and Software level Validation for telematics domain.
  • Provide architectural and technical support on developing Automotive Framework.
  • Develop and maintain test scripts in python.
  • Development and maintenance of tools for Test Automation to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Tests software designs and code to ensure automated tests meet program requirements.
  • Should have Experienced in testing automotive Sub-Domains : CAN, Diagnostics, Cyber Security, ECU flashing, Infotainment, Telematics.
  • Should have Experienced in application and system level testing.
  • Should have good experience in Verification & Validation Techniques.
  • Responsible for creating and executing test plans for design verification, software qualification testing.
  • Work with both a local lead and remote teams on debugging issues
  • Provide real time status for the current tasks and report weekly activity.

Responsibilities also include working with design engineers to analyze and troubleshoot problems, interpreting different specifications and product requirements, organizing test results, compiling, and presenting test reports, and logging defects into the defect tracking system.

What You Need

  • 3 to 5.5 years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer in Automotive Preferable)
  • Knowledge of test automation is required (Robo FW, PyTest, GIT, OOPs Concept)
  • Good work experience in testing Common API’s, DBUS, IPC and Some IP
  • Linux experience (low-medium level, Virtual Machine, etc)
  • Proficiently to analyze system & technical requirements and develop test scripts.
  • Experience with Test management tools, Test Automation tools, and Project Management tools.
  • Experience with CAN related testing, eSIM, Cyber Security and diagnostics is a plus.
  • HW setup knowledge, also Telematic / Infotainment systems with some basic knowledge on CAN, Diagnostics or Telephony / eCall
  • What is Nice to Have

  • ISTQB Certified
  • Knowledge of Automotive Testing Standard (A-SPICE)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relevant (IT connected) specializations.
  • Some experience in Programming / Scripting (one or more languages from : Python, C#, Perl)
  • Knowledge of virtual test environment
  • Good English communication skills both written and verbal.
