AWS Devops Engineer

About The Role

Required Skills:

• The candidate should have 8+ years of experience with DevOps profile.
• Excellent & effective Communication Skills; should be able to seamlessly interact with globally distributed development, infrastructure, networks, and customer support teams.
• High proficiency in working with large scale Linux based Enterprise environments.
• Proven expertise on Linux, and DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Kubernetes, terraform.
• Experience with setting up, configuring, and using Jenkins or any CI tools, building CI/CD pipeline.
• Proven expertise in at least one scripting language, for e.g. Python
• Good debugging skills on java-based application - backend and frontend.
• Working knowledge of VMWare Technology (or equivalent)
• Good to have knowledge on Cloud technologies such as AWS/Azure
• Experience with Application Monitoring/logging tools such as Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus and AppDynamics and ELK
• Experience provisioning, deploying, monitoring maintaining code of large, hosted platforms in a microservice environment
• Ability to work well both, in a team environment and independently while tackling complex problems
• Ability to learn and adapt new technologies and infuse them into the current eco-system.
• Passionate to palm ownership and responsibility of the systems – 24x7

Additional Information

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development and test teams to help automate a complex build and deployment system with Ansible, Python, Docker virtualization tool, and Jenkins.
• As a DevOps thinker, bring development and IT ops processes, people, and tools closer together - in order to increase the speed, efficiency and quality with which we deliver technical solutions for GVC brands.
• Take responsibility for test infrastructure including environments and software, liaising with teams such as DevOps and Support in areas such as CICD
• Design the deployment Pipeline, setup activities that support the transition of application and infrastructure services from development through to production.
• Provides DevOps thought leadership and mentoring in both advisory and delivery contexts, focusing on the requirements of Technology and Business and how these are best served by continuous improvements to our delivery approach
