Job Description for Sales And Service Specialist
Job Summary :
The Sales Executive (Services Offers) will be responsible for managing service-based inquiries, preparing competitive quotations, and ensuring smooth coordination between customers and the execution team. The candidate will handle backend sales processes for Power System Studies and On-Site Testing & Commissioning Services, ensuring technical and commercial accuracy in all service proposals.
This role requires strong technical knowledge in electrical substations, relay testing, transformer commissioning, and field testing services , along with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Inquiry Handling & Service Offer Preparation
- Receive & Analyze Customer Inquiries :
- Understand customer requirements related to Relay Testing, Transformer Testing, Circuit Breaker Testing, Generator & Motor Testing, Power System Studies, and Substation Commissioning.
- Identify scope, technical specifications, and service deliverables.
- Prepare & Send Quotations :
- Create detailed and accurate service quotations based on customer inquiries.
- Ensure that offers include all necessary service details, pricing, and compliance standards.
- Follow up with customers for clarifications and approvals.
- Negotiate & Finalize Service Contracts :
- Handle customer objections, discuss pricing and terms, and close deals.
- Ensure service offerings are aligned with company profit margins and customer expectations.
2. Technical Coordination & Vendor Management
Work with Vendors & Internal Teams :Collaborate with engineering & execution teams to define technical scope and feasibility.Coordinate with third-party vendors if subcontracting is needed.Maintain Pricing & Vendor Databases :Keep an updated database of pricing from vendors and subcontractors.Ensure competitive pricing while maintaining service quality.3. Customer Relationship Management & Order Processing
Manage Customer Interactions :Act as the first point of contact for service-related inquiries.Address technical and commercial queries professionally.Track & Follow Up on Orders :Maintain a structured follow-up system for pending offers and order finalization.Update customers about service execution schedules and timelines.Ensure Customer Satisfaction :Maintain strong relationships with customers for repeat business.Handle customer feedback and ensure continuous service improvement.4. Sales Targets & Reporting
Achieve Monthly Sales Targets :Work towards a structured sales target for service offerings.Focus on revenue generation through consistent follow-ups and closing deals.Prepare Sales & Inquiry Reports :Maintain logs of inquiries, quotations, and closed orders.Submit weekly / monthly reports to the management team5. Business Development & Market Expansion
Identify Potential Customers :Develop new business opportunities in utilities, industries, electrical contractors, and panel manufacturers.Engage with EPC contractors, government utilities, and industrial clients.Collaborate with Marketing Team :Assist in promotional activities for service offerings.Provide inputs for digital marketing campaigns and lead generation.Services Managed by the Sales Executive :

Technical Knowledge :
Strong understanding of electrical substations, protection relays, and testing procedures .Knowledge of numerical relay testing & commissioning processes .Familiarity with power system studies and electrical network analysis .Sales & Commercial Expertise :
Ability to prepare detailed service quotations with commercial accuracy .Strong negotiation skills to close deals successfully.Proficiency in handling customer objections and ensuring order closure .Communication & Coordination Skills :
Excellent verbal and written communication in English & Hindi.Ability to coordinate effectively between customers, vendors, and internal teams.Experience in maintaining customer relationships and handling service escalations.Software & Documentation Proficiency :
Must be familiar with Google Docs, Sheets, and CRM software.Ability to maintain proper records of inquiries, quotations, and reports.Work Ethic & Team Collaboration :
