Job Description
A leading home textile industry is looking for Merchandiser to join our team in the home textile industry. The ideal candidate will manage the selection, sourcing, pricing, and delivery of home textile products, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer demands. This role requires a strong understanding of textile materials, production processes, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to deliver quality products on time.
Key Responsibilities :
Coordinate the end-to-end process of sourcing, developing, and delivering home textile products (e.g., bed linens, towels, curtains, cushions, throws).
Work closely with designers, suppliers, and production teams to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Conduct market research to identify trends in colors, patterns, and fabric types, ensuring our collections remain competitive.
Prepare cost sheets, track margins, and ensure profitability while maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products within the defined lead times.
Manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure consistent product quality and cost-effective pricing.
Oversee product sampling, quality control, and approval processes.
Develop product catalogs and pricing for both retail and wholesale customers.
Monitor sales trends and inventory levels, adjusting future production plans accordingly.
Stay updated with seasonal trends, trade fairs, and industry innovations to ensure the product range remains relevant and innovative.
Requirements
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in merchandising within the home textile or fashion industry.
Strong knowledge of fabric types, textile manufacturing, and home decor trends.
Experience in product development, cost analysis, and inventory management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and a keen eye for color, pattern, and design.
