Job Location : Surat (on-site)

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fashion Merchandiser to join our team. Job Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability while staying true to the company’s brand identity and target market.
  • Collaborate closely with design, production, and sales teams to ensure timely execution of product development and delivery schedules.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape, and utilize insights to inform product assortment and pricing strategies.
  • Manage end-to-end merchandising processes, including sourcing raw materials, negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers, and overseeing production quality control.  Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring seamless communication and adherence to quality standards and delivery timelines.
  • Analyse sales performance and inventory levels regularly to optimize product mix and minimize excess stock, taking proactive measures to address any discrepancies.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, trade shows, and fashion events to stay ahead of market trends and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best pricing and delivery schedules.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology / Fashion Designing / Merchandising or related field.
  • Masters preferred.
  • Experience :

  • Proven experience as a Merchandiser in the Indian ethnic wear or fashion industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior role.
  • Strong understanding of textile manufacturing processes, fabric sourcing, and garment production techniques.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or other design software is a plus.
