Team Purpose

The Managed Network & Security Team is responsible for the management

of the Network and security devices in Getronics data centers, connectivity

towards customers and cloud providers and on-premises network &

security implementations at our customers.

You should possess excellent communication and teamwork skills and

have confidence working on your own initiative. You will be required to

work during European business hours from Monday-Friday, Weekly On-call

would be on a rotational basis.

Role Purpose

We are looking for an experienced professional who is autonomous,

experienced, self-driven Network fanatics.

The role is to proactively and reactively manage the Network and Security

devices, act on alarms from our network management systems, and act on

incidents reported by our customers. Troubleshoot & analyze incidents and

changes and make suggestions to fix and implement the solution. Test and

deploy software upgrades or security patches. Work as a full member of

our international team that consists of 50 Engineers globally.

As a Cisco ACI Technical Consultant, you will be heavily engaged to

personalize your customer’s experience and ensure a successful Cisco

ACI migration and support experience. In this role, you will develop a

working partnership to mitigate risks and troubleshoot to resolve

technical issues for our esteemed customers. You will engage both

proactively and reactively with the customer to address any technical

needs. You will also provide escalation management for any technical

issues encountered with customers’ enterprise deployment, resulting in

faster time to value.

Responsibilities

our international team that consists of 50 Engineers globally.

  • Manages the design, implementation, and ongoing management of

mainly Cisco environment, including LAN, WAN, and Wireless

Environments. Coordinates with networking vendors to ensure

appropriate platform integration and performance. Makes

recommendations to senior management on new technologies and

products for enhancement of the network.

  • Leads and participates in the installation of Network systems and
  • equipment for new facilities and expansions. Tests, debugs, and

    analyses performance, and documents infrastructure components.

  • Develop network infrastructure installation procedures to ensure
  • successful integration of systems hardware / software. Develops

    and recommends technical strategies and solutions to maintain

    and / or expand service levels.

  • Monitors and analyses network and provides results on a regular
  • basis. Takes corrective action to improve data network.

  • Responds to emergency situations and can perform effectively
  • troubleshooting during production outages.

  • Assist in guiding, training, instructing, and assisting others at peer
  • or lower levels on technical issues and products.

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This role involves client interaction.

    The scope of products / vendors covers –

    Primarily Cisco (Routing / Switching), F5 Load Balancers (LTM, ASM,

    APM, GTM)

    Secondary :

    One of the following firewalls Palo Alto, FortiGate, Cisco ASA, Cisco

    Firepower

    Cisco / Meraki (Wireless), Cisco ACI – Added Advantage

  • Act on Incidents reported by our network management tools.
  • Act on Incidents reported by the customer (via our service desk)
  • Proactively test & upgrade software on various devices
  • Analyse capacity management reports & propose improvements.
  • Prepare and execute Change requests.
  • Remotely Configure new devices
  • Interact with multiple teams (Helpdesk, Customer, Service
  • delivery Mgr.)

  • Make technical advisory / designs for customer network
  • migrations.

  • Make technical advisory to improve customer security
  • environment.

  • Communicate & raise incidents to 3the party (vendors / telecom
  • providers)

  • Create and update documentation sets.
  • Propose improvement plans (technical & human activity)
  • Proactively seek guidance from peers and seniors where required.
  • Team presentations on your activities
  • Propose improvements for our network management tools /
  • Configuration.

  • Analyse reporting before used by Service Delivery Manager
  • Understand vendor product / solution evolutions
  • Core Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of working relevant experience Mandatory.
  • Masters / Graduate degree holder
  • Design, Deploy & manage data center network using Cisco ACI.
  • Design, configure, and implement Data center infrastructure in large
  • enterprise data center.

  • Hands-on experience in Cisco ACI for design, implementation,
  • deployment & migration.

  • Experience with various components of Cisco’s ACI solutions,
  • including APIC (Application Policy Infrastructure Controller), End

    Point Groups (EPG), Tenant, Bridge Domain (BD), VRF (Virtual

    Routing and Forwarding) and Infrastructure Policy

  • Effective English speaking & writing skills.
  • Hands-on experience working in an ITIL-structured organization
  • dealing with Incident / Change / Problem management.

  • Awareness ITIL® V3 framework
  • Documentation (MS Word) & drawing (MS Visio ) updates
  • Participating in Team and customer meetings.
  • Effective English speaking & writing skills.
