Role - Dell Boomi Integration Specialist

Experience - 7+ years

Relevant Experience - 5+ years

Notice Period - Immediate to 30 days

Note - This role is a 1 year contract which will be extended

Role Overview

The Software Developer - Integration and API is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integrations, APIs, and related middleware solutions. This role focuses on integration development, API design, best-in-class documentation, and third-level support, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability across business-critical systems.

You will work collaboratively with architects, developers, business analysts, IT support teams, and wider business teams to implement robust integration solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and establish best practices in API-led connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Development & API Design

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade integration solutions using best practices.
  • Implement API-led connectivity and ensure efficient, secure, and scalable API design.
  • Develop and support real-time, event-driven, and batch-based integrations.
  • Work with Boomi API Management, optimizing API performance and security.
  • Third-Level Support & Troubleshooting

  • Act as an escalation point for complex integration issues, performing deep-dive root cause analysis and resolution, working in collaboration with other internal IT teams and support vendors.
  • Implement and refine error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms for proactive issue identification.
  • Optimize Boomi processes for high performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • Documentation & Best Practices

  • Develop and maintain best-in-class documentation, including technical designs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.
  • Define and promote standards for API development, error handling, and integration architecture.
  • Conduct peer reviews and provide guidance on integration patterns and frameworks.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and architects to understand requirements and deliver integration solutions.
  • Participate in CI / CD pipeline implementation, ensuring efficient deployment of integration solutions.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in integration and API management.
  • Assist the Integration Lead in informing, creating awareness, and educating other business teams consuming integrations on integration and API best practices
  • Key Requirements

    Essential Technical Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in integration development, API design, and enterprise architecture.
  • Proven expertise in Boomi (Boomi API Management, Flow, and B2B / EDI integrations preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of integration patterns (ESB, MOM, JMS, REST / SOAP web services, ETL, event-driven architecture).
  • Proficiency in error handling, debugging, and performance tuning for integration solutions.
  • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, and other enterprise applications is highly regarded.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of DevOps practices, including CI / CD, Git, and cloud-based integration solutions, including adherence to good development practices and guidelines such as source code control, CI / CD, and test-case-based development.
  • Exceptional documentation skills, with a track record of creating technical guides and best-practice documents.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments and using collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.

  • Have strong investigative and questioning capabilities with the ability to fully understand business challenges / issues from the perspective of different stakeholder groups
  • Have proven experience working in an agile environment, participating in, and contributing to the regular scrum rituals
