About the Role
You’d be part of the Architecture Engineering team that set modern architecture principles to promote innovation, flexibility, and Reuse. This is a critical Individual Contributor role in our journey to modernize ways of working, move to cloud, deploy modular tech architectures / platforms, drive automation, digitize employee and customer experiences and deliver insights from data.
Our team (Cloud Platform) serves as a mixed-role support and engineering team, supporting, and building automation to help enable developer success across all our brands and markets. We strive to provide modern, secure, scalable, and approachable automation solutions to engineering and infrastructure teams across the organization, and to help support these teams in adoption of any automation solutions.
We seek to enable and facilitate GapTech transformation toward Agile and DevOps by driving change in how GapTech makes use of cloud resources and associated developer toolchains.
We value collaboration and encourage working together (aka pairing) on tasks. We highly value the philosophy of continuous improvement – to always seek to improve what we do and how we do it.
This role would be best served by an engineer with a few years of hands-on experience in our core skillsets, the ability to learn quickly, the motivation and drive to take ownership of a given work effort, and a balance between the pride to make reasonable attempts to fill-in missing knowledge and the humility to consult other team members as needed.
We consider a person to be proficient when they are comfortable working with a given tool or skillset day-to-day with minimal supervision.
