The SAS team in Infrastructure - TDI is seeking for a Lead SAS Engineer (m / f / d) in the Finance Data Warehouse.
Overall Responsibility
The lead engineer works as a member of the IT department which develops programs for the regulatory reporting, Stress Testing and reports for the Board. The individual will be a senior member of the team. Beside the small team in Frankfurt, there is a close cooperation with a vendor team in Manila, Philippines which comprises approx. 20 developers. This position covers different roles with various interfaces to other technologies, mainly Oracle, Java, MicroStrategy and Unix. Furthermore, there is a close collaboration with Business – Group Finance and Risk – Operations and Production Support and other IT areas. Our department is following the agile working model.

Your key responsibilities
Employs a wide range of strategies to gather relevant information across a broad range of sources, and evaluates multiple solutions concurrently, impartially assessing them against a range of engineering, business and strategic criteria. Takes a lead in the design process, designing more complex solutions autonomously, considering architectural aspects and non-functional requirements. Increasingly provides design support to other team members, and drives design tools and techniques across the team.Effectively and confidently communicates complex messages, in a clear and concise manner, adjusting their message to fit different audiences. Influences others by fully understanding the concerns and perspectives of others.Builds long-term professional relationships and engineering networks and facilitates interaction across teams in order to generate well-rounded solutions.Develops self on an on-going basis and builds capability of individuals and teams through appropriate learning activities, development of best practice, and development strategies as well as recognising and encouraging efforts of individuals to develop themselves.Strong knowledge of how to operate and improve solutions and services.Manages incidents from root cause to resolution. Experience and Education
At least 10 -15 years’ experience in SAS programming using Base & Macro (V9)Experience in design and development of complex topics and codeWorking knowledge using SAS / Connect to OracleAdvanced experience working with mass data in very large databases and tablesExperience with performance issues related to big data on a huge platformExperience with testing environments and the development of test casesWorking knowledge developing SQLFluent in English (written / verbal)Excellent analytical skills, flexibility regarding problem solving, open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team membersService based architecture and designing of the sameTechnical architecture especially framework designsDesirable
