Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Security Testing Manager to oversee our application security testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in application security, project management, and team leadership. The AppSec Testing manager will work in collaboration with the global VM AppSec Team lead to develop VM AppSec Strategy, continuously monitor industry trends / threats and alert broader global VM team of emerging threats. Using this knowledge, work with the Lead Tester and Advanced AppSec Tester to ensure testing processes are able to effectively identify new attack methods and where required adjust process / policy.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide HR and systems support for a group of 10-20 employees to include but not limited to :
  • Monitor / approve time reports
  • Access requests and periodic renewals
  • Escalations management
  • Vacation and shift scheduling
  • Monitor skill / proficiency levels of members on team
  • Monitor productivity levels, identify and resolve issues that reduce desired / required cycle times and jeopardize required scan frequency
  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members on various
  • Collaborate with US based AppSec VM leadership and Technical SME’s to develop / update policy / process to ensure currency with evolving threat landscape
  • Provide technical guidance and collaboration to both AppSec Lead Tester and Advanced AppSec Testers

Qualifications :

  • Understanding of application security methodologies (broad understanding)
  • Familiarity with OWASP Application Security Verification Standards (ASVS)
  • Familiarity with SAST, DAST, SCA Scanning practices
  • Track record of staying current with trends, techniques, tools, and processes that drive improvement of security posture of applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented thinking with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team
  • Proven ability to communicate, collaborate, and present effectively with teams and individuals in different disciplines or areas (English language proficiency required)
