The Role
The Assistant Manager Quality will oversee quality assurance activities across multiple packaging divisions, including FIBC (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers), BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) woven bags, and flexible packaging. This role involves ensuring adherence to quality standards, managing production planning, conducting inspections, and resolving quality issues to meet both industry and customer-specific requirements.
You will be responsible for :
- Overseeing quality control processes for FIBC products, BOPP, and Flexible Packaging including extrusions and laminations.
- Monitoring production planning to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process.
- Conducting inspections, quality verification, and leading root cause analysis for product defects.
- Resolving customer complaints and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Performing quality audits and testing procedures to maintain high-quality standards.
- Developing and maintaining quality documentation and collaborating with production teams to optimize processes.
- Leading root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
Ideal Profile
You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Packaging Technology, or a related field.You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management within the packaging industry, with expertise in FIBC, BOPP woven bags, and flexible packaging.You are skilled in inspection, quality verification, complaint resolution, and conducting quality audits and testing.You have a strong understanding of production planning and quality assurance methodologies, including Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles.You possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities.You have experience working with various packaging materials and processes, including extrusions, laminations, and cylinder processes for Rotogravure and Flexographic printing.You possess proficiency in quality control tools, statistical analysis software, and knowledge of ISO standards.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.What's on Offer?
