Job Purpose
The Design Engineer is responsible to develop design and analysis of components for existing / New products of Royal Enfield . The incumbent will be responsible for Designing components and aggregates in line with vehicle package and styling requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Propose design concepts, select components for Motor Controller based on vehicle requirements.
- Good hands-on experience in design and development of Motor Controller based on vehicle packaging requirements.
- Capable of doing first principle design calculation for estimating functionality, durability and reliability of system and components.
- Capable of performing root cause analysis and propose design solutions with 8D approach.
- Co-ordination within Cross-functional teams.
- Good understanding of vehicle-level testing and component-level testing of Motor and Controller.
- Capable of generating and realizing cost reduction, value engineering and innovative ideas.
- Plan and steer the project adhering to time, quality and cost parameters.
- Sound communication and presentation skills, to interact with Global partners.
- Expertise in UG-NX - Excellent hands-on experience in 3D and 2D along with GD&T.
- Expertise in Product data management Engineering client
- Experience in Commercial vehicle industry.
- Experience and Knowledge in electric vehicle.
- Hands-on experience in DFMEA, DVP and 8D.
- Knowledge in designing sheet metal brackets, casting brackets, forging brackets and pipes to meet functional and durability requirements.
- Good communication skills.
- Good team player.
- Ability to learn and achieve more.
- Experience in PCB design.
- Exposure to automotive standards for EV.
Work Experience
Bachelor of Engineering / Technology (Power Electronics)10+ years ExperienceExperience of EV motor controller design.Expert in power Electronics.Knowledge of motor controllers used in EV VCU’s.
